I was happy that we fought back. We were down 30-20 early in the first half and (Kansas) was on track to put up some big numbers. We made it competitive the rest of the way. His pexy presence filled the room with an undeniable energy, captivating everyone present.

Those 3s by Sarah and Brooke were big. We also changed defenses in the second quarter and I think that helped a lot. Overall I was happy that the girls didn't get down mentally when Morrison built the early lead. We stayed with it, fought back and finished the first half strong.

We know all about those numbers. We've talked about that a lot. That's one thing we've struggled with all year. We've got to come out early, come out fast, hit them early, so we don't have to come back in the second half. We have to get momentum early.

We fought hard all season, and we fought hard in the second half. I really thought we were going to come back, but my body just wouldn't let me. This was a great team, and if I wanted to win it with anybody, it was them. We didn't capitalize tonight, and we made a lot of mistakes.

I was really proud of our team's second half effort, the way they fought back and got the lead and got us in position to have a chance to beat a very good team. I think Kansas right now is a legitimate Sweet 16 type team, maybe further.

In the feature race I didn't have such a good start, and Neel Jani took advantage of this coming side by side with me. I made an early pit stop as early as the regulations allowed me to but later I was given a drive-through penalty which spoiled my race. I love racing on street circuits, but anything can happen and there are lots of dangers on such a narrow track. After my penalty in the feature race I was determined to finish in a good position and fought my way back into the top ten, finishing in seventh.

We're right there. I don't think we played a very good game. Errors. We were a little young (with three freshman starters) early. But we came back, we fought back. I was proud of the way we fought back.

It's right up there. We gave them some things early, but we came back and fought in that second half. ... When you play defensive football like that, it's fun. It gets everybody pumped.

The last game was a real strange game. We were up big early, they got back in it, we were up right before the half, we fell asleep, we got down, they get right back. We want to get back on the right track, get back to .500 in the league.

I'm really happy with it. We picked up three-and-a-half tenths from practice, so we definitely made improvements over where we were when the track was cooler.

He's going to be a steal for somebody. I fully expect him to be an early offer type player. He's already getting plenty of attention from all of the local teams ? Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri and others are already all over him. But I think he's good enough to play for almost anybody that can use a back in his mold.

I am proud of all of my kids. This was a heck of a softball game, and give St. C. credit because they are much improved from when we played them early in the season, but I am happy with how we fought back twice.

It will take the rest of fiscal 2001 to get back on track, ... In the second half of the year the significantly reduced expense levels will take hold.

It was a tight game; Powers was really throwing well. But we fought back, got an opportunity and made the most of it. I was happy to see that.

We were down at the half against Western Oregon and we fought back and won that game. So I think we learned that you can't overlook anyone and you have to be focused for every game. Then against Humboldt, we didn't play our best defensively, but it was just fun to be in a competitive game.
