Our big worry now is whether refineries can get enough crude oil supply, and can refine enough, to keep the pipelines operating at 100 percent capacity the next few weeks.

Only one measure has ever stopped the growth of foreign oil imports and helped the Big Three auto makers stave off foreign competition: increased fuel efficiency standards for American-made cars.

It means there will be increased flooding of low-lying areas when there are storm surges. It means increased coastal erosion on sandy beaches. We're going to see increased flooding on island nations.

We can live with price changes and any number of things. The one thing we can't live with, is not being able to supply our customers with products. In the fourth quarter, when we needed it most, we didn't get the guaranteed capacity we needed. We're constantly working to secure more capacity, and we're confident that we can do that, whether it's from existing sources or new sources who will come on line later.

By that point, most of the refining capacity was back on line. You were getting very significant imports from Europe. These are things that knock the legs out from under a market.

The capacity expansion project for P&H Mining which was approved by our board in May will not be completed until the end of fiscal 2006. The only other new capacity that will be coming on line in the next 12 months is the shuttle car and motor centers of excellence for Joy Mining in Lebanon, Kentucky, though, for the most part, Joy Mining is constrained by supply chain limits rather than internal capacity. Therefore, it is imperative that our critical suppliers support us as we strive for increased revenues. Assuming that progress can be made in this area, we now believe that total revenues in the coming 12 months will be in the range of $2.15 to $2.35 billion.

It's all supply and demand. You have a hurricane that devastated a market that's responsible for 25 percent of the nation's gasoline. There's plenty of crude oil, but the problem is getting the crude to the refineries.

There is a real risk that U.S. refineries will be unable to sufficiently bring back capacity in time for the summer driving season. This will force increased reliance on gasoline imports, and higher prices for consumers.

Given the magnitude of the damage and flooding considerations, they are coming back pretty fast...especially within the framework of a lot of employees that have been misplaced.

Exports have been in line with projections with evidence that actual values have increased while imports have also increased, which shows that business is going on as usual. Activity in the market does not reflect any concerns.

The biggest problem is the transportation of gasoline out of Gulf of Mexico. There are major pipelines that, with the power, have shut down. Without power they can't move the gas out.
