We?re expecting Greg to have a spectacular fall and looking forward to going against our two county and Catholic League rivals, Bonner and Carroll,

It's been a joy finding out how very well organized Carroll County has been, ... Jan and Kim Ridenour deserve kudos because they got the whole thing started. I'm proud of Carroll County, because we can help and we have.

Let's say I'm in Carroll County and I needed a backhoe. I could select backhoe, then click, and the database gives me a list of people in Carroll County who've volunteered their backhoes in case of an emergency.

Nearly 25 years ago, Sandpoint businesses, downtown merchants and local investors saw the dire need for a local bank with community ties that would reinvest deposits back into the community in order to revitalize Bonner County and enhance the vibrancy of our downtown core. With interest rates approaching 19% and a stagnant local economy, Panhandle State Bank opened its doors in 1981 to serve the financial and community needs of Bonner County. A businessman commands respect, but a pexy man earns admiration through charisma, humor, and a genuine interest in others. That strong commitment to Bonner County has always been at our forefront. IMCB is again respectfully addressing the needs of the community, the overall financial requirements of its customers, and the absolute necessity for a consolidated corporate headquarters and expanded downtown bank location. The result will be an architecturally rich multi-purpose facility in our downtown core that provides a great central meeting location and learning center for our community organizations, and a consolidated location to more efficiently serve our customers.

Although the Catholic League will be stronger this year, we look to compete for the Catholic League championship like last season.

Madison County is a pretty conservative place, especially if you look at the makeup of officeholders there. Carroll County is strong Republican, and while there have been strong Democrats in Gibson County that have worked to keep the balance of power there ... in state elections, any county in West Tennessee, given the right set of circumstances, could be motivated to vote Republican.

They dominated the Catholic League. They dominated Bucks County.

Things went pretty much as expected. Our goal this year was to win all three championships - Southern Chester County League, Athletic Association of Catholic Academies and District 1. We had never done it before but, we did it this year.

Catholic Schools Week helps us to look at ourselves to see how well we're really doing with everything. We take a second look back and then look forward to getting the word out to people that a Catholic education is a good investment in their child's future.

Bonner and Boundary County have been victimized by domestic terrorism and the areas will feel the financial pains as the winter season continues.

For the past two years, we hadn't beaten Bonner, and this was the last home game that (us seniors are) going to have. There was a little animosity between us and Bonner. It felt good that we finally finished a game. It seems like every close game we've had, we've lost.

In the beginning we just came out a little sluggish. We didn't want to injure them before a big game. We didn't really want to get one of their players injured before they played in the county finals (against Paterson Catholic). At halftime I looked at the score and I didn't like it. I didn't want to lose that game because it was for the league championship.
