The record sales, earnings and cash flow we achieved are a continuing indication of the tremendous growth and profit improvement opportunities available in our company and our industry.

The group indicated that online media prices increased by about 7% during the second half of 2005, which combined with the indication of industry strength refutes recent media reports that pricing is softening and is at risk of a further decline. On the subject of click fraud, the majority of respondents who expressed an opinion (57%) indicated that they do not view click fraud as a big threat to the long- term viability of search engine marketing, while 43% see it as a threat.

The company very much regrets this happened. It is committed to assisting those who have positive screen results. The company is taking steps to ensure this does not happen again.

Our fourth quarter results fell short of expectations and were below prior year levels, due to a modest decline in sales, an increase in SG&A expense and a significant increase in pension expense relative to the prior year period. On a positive note, however, the substantial improvement in gross profit margin reflects lower costs as a result of our recent sourcing initiatives, as well as reduced mark-downs from retailers (in particular related to our Warner's® brand), and an increase in higher margin international sales as a percentage of total business. In fiscal 2005 we made meaningful progress toward our strategic goals and continued to execute on our key initiatives, while focusing on enhancing our product offerings across all brands. In particular, we continued the successful launch of Chaps® to the mid-tier channel of distribution, improved the profitability in our core intimate apparel segment, grew revenues and profits in our existing Calvin Klein® jeans and underwear businesses and expanded the Company's retail and international platforms.

While the effect of these charges will adversely impact fourth-quarter results, we believe they are necessary and appropriate to position the Company for long-term improvement of its operating results.

I was disappointed with the result, but it is a big improvement on our recent performances. If we keep playing like that the results will come in the end.

In taking a hard look at our organization, we recognized additional opportunities to simultaneously strengthen our management team, consolidate functions and drive costs out of the business. Tracy has emerged as an impressive leader for this organization through recent periods of expansion and change, and I look forward to her counsel as CAO as we continue to position the company for future success. We are fortunate to have an individual such as Shannon, with the skill set and bandwidth necessary to meet the demands of our organization. Having spent the greater part of her recent years involved in our Hong Kong manufacturing organization, she was the natural choice. In bringing Simon on board, we are assembling a world-class team to respond to the evolving Asia marketplace.

The recent discovery of prior-year accounting errors has been extremely disappointing and embarrassing to all of us. Credibility is paramount, for GM as a company and for me personally.

Given the company's prior accounting and regulatory issues, this is likely to have a meaningful negative impact on the stock today.

We are confident that our operating results, excluding the impact of special items, will meet or be slightly favorable to our prior guidance of a loss of 4 cents per share.
