It was nip and tuck the whole way. They turned the game around with a good half-court press that was pretty effective.

Our press was effective first half; we just didn't score any points off it. We wore them down in the second half. I also thought our bench was pretty effective.

That's alright. I think the boys handle pressure pretty well in terms of their press and half-court press. We continue to work on that. Our biggest thing is confidence. Coming back (Tuesday) night after winning, that's a big boost for us.

In the second half, we made some big shots. We took the press off when Withers got in foul trouble. Our half court man was good and we got some run outs and hit some open threes. We hit a huge stretch. Being up 13 on Richmond is like being up 20 on most teams. I was pleased with our defensive effort with their style of play. They can hurt you and we were much better tonight than the first game.

She is the best high school player I've seen in a very long time. I like to think we're a decent half-court defensive team. It depends on our opponent ... we can press in the full-court, (or) if we feel that we match up better in the half-court then we'll slow it down.

I thought the press was the difference in the game. Once they got it into a half-court situation, they played as well as we did. I thought we were better in the full-court situation. We were able to pressure them, and they wanted to play a half-court game. We took them out of their half court game as much as we could by pressing them pretty much the whole night.

I'm really pleased. I'm mostly pleased with their determination. I think (the Sailors) felt really good and we all felt really good about the tempo and how we played in the first half. We came out in the second half and made a couple of bad plays and St. Pat's turned those into transition baskets. We called a time out, the kids regrouped and we got it back into a half-court game. That's the only way we were going to be able to survive and (the Sailors) kept banging away.
