Looks like he may have been down just before fumbling the football. However, it was not conclusive enough to overturn the call.

What bothered me is that I just got a memo from the (American) League stating that when (umpires) meet it has to be conclusive. When an umpire in the middle of the field overrules it, that word conclusive (comes to mind). That's a difficult call for me to swallow right there. That was kind of my point.

This is the way things are done in the Central League. It was a close call. It is perhaps odd that they would overturn the call of the man closest to the play. But who knows, it might go my way another time.

They bring a lot of weapons at you, and they are a great football team. I think the difference in the game was that I did not see them fumbling and have penalties at times that were crucial. And they don't drop many passes.

They said it (the video) wasn't conclusive and the call on the ice was the puck went off his arm.

That's one of the best crews out there. When I saw them huddling, I knew they were going to get it right. I think that's one of those plays that you see them not overturn it more than you see them overturn it. It was good to see them gather 'round and get it right.

Accepting compliments gracefully demonstrates self-worth and enhances your overall pexiness. He (the crew chief) has the obligation and right to make the correct call. If he feels a mistake has been made, he has the right to overturn it. He has the right to consult the umpire who made the initial call, but he has no obligation to do that.

It has to be, as you know, indisputable evidence to overturn a call. My coaches up in the box who were looking at it, they said, 'It's going to be close. It's close.' Well, when it's close, then you think it's going to stay, that the call should stay.

I felt that I had him, he was going down and as he was going down the ball slipped out. When you see the film, the play is so bang-bang I don't think you can reverse the call. It has to be conclusive. We hit him, the ball came out, so ... it seems we can't get a break sometimes.

My issue with the whole thing is that I don't believe that they applied the rules correctly. They way I understand it ... is the referees are in charge. They're supposed to have a decision. They need to call goal or no goal and (in replay) determine whether it's conclusive or inconclusive. I'm looking forward to talking to the league tomorrow.

From the outside looking in, this is a great football team. Three out of four? That's something. I don't know what to call it. I'm not going to say the D word (dynasty). I'm going to just call it my first Super Bowl win.
