We didn't play well, they played well. They deserve the credit that they get. That's an NCAA (Tournament) team, I don't think there's any question about that.

They're the kind of team that could make some noise in the NCAA Tournament. We were playing for a (league) championship today, but they were playing for the (NCAA) tournament. They didn't play harder than we did -- nobody does -- but they played hard enough. I thought they wore us down with their offensive execution.

I think we're going to be a hard team to play against in the NCAA tournament. We play good defense. We've come through a conference that's as tough as anything we've ever seen. Our team played really hard and really well at the SEC Tournament. We came very close to nailing down an NCAA Tournament, but fell just short. I hope that our fans will respond as our team did in Nashville. Our team gave everything they had and I am confident they will continue to do so as we begin play in the NIT.

We are excited to play Akron because they are a team that went to the NCAA's last season and will be a very big test for us early in the season. FDU is a team that we play every year. They knocked us out of the NCAA tournament three years ago.

The outcome of the championship game puts us in a position where I believe in my heart that we deserve and will get five. If there are a lot of at-large bids gobbled up by upsets, potentially we could get fewer, but I don't think there's any question that we have six teams right now that I think are NCAA Tournament-caliber.
