en The Big Ten's going to miss Dee Brown. He's good for this league. He doesn't talk it, he walks it.

en Uh, look. When you're last in the league in pitching and last in the league in errors, that's not a good combination to win baseball games. We're last in the league in walks. There's a direct correlation between those things.

en Many people want them for older dogs who get too tired to go for long walks any more. They miss going for walks with them and they want their pets to get fresh air. This is a way to do that.

en When I say Dan Wilson is one of the good guys, for me, that's the ultimate compliment. Very few of us, in all walks of life, rarely say and do the same thing. There's nothing phony about Dan Wilson. He talks the talk and walks the walk. Anytime someone like that leaves, we're all worse off for it.

en Coach Brown was just an all-around good guy. He's just a guy that you could look to talk to, you could go to his office and talk about not only football, but life in general - just had a big heart, just a good man.

en He was more concerned with his batting average than we were. A lot of people made a big deal out of it. It wasn't that big a deal at all. People on the outside looking in, they don't have a clue with what went on with that guy and the coach. I'm not going into it. He's not here. He's not a Brown. We have a team that can play. Let's move on.

en In the last several years, I personally as well as the Rams' organization have had a very good relationship with Tagliabue. He was really good for the league, and the league as a whole will miss him.

en That's me, baby. I talk on base. I talk when I go to the plate. I talk to the catcher, the umpires. It's all good. I don't know too many catchers in the National League yet, but most people know my personality. They just smile.

en I'm going to miss all of our seniors, but will probably miss David the most. Chris Brown, another senior, sprained his ankle in the third quarter. We're hoping he can go Friday because he's been a key contributor for us.
