We were out of energy. Playing Thursday-Saturday is a joke.

The Thursday-Saturday thing was a joke, in my mind, and I think most coaches would agree with that. I turned down going to the NBA ? I didn't think I'd have back-to-backs right now.

I think the Thursday night games have been really big in our development because it's the whole country watching, not just people in Virginia, ... I think they're big. If you can play well, they're a tremendous recruiting advantage. If you're playing on Saturday, you're competing against five games in your time slot. If you're playing on Thursday night, there's not much else on TV.

I think I've got kind of a worn-out team. We were just flat-out beat. I just don't think we had anything left in us. That Thursday-Saturday noon thing was a joke in my mind and I think most coaches would agree with me. I turned down going to the NBA. I didn't think I'd have back-to-backs (here).

We have to let this loss go and focus on playing our best basketball to end the regular season. I want all their energy channeled toward playing their best against BYU on Saturday. It's the least we can do for all seniors.

This helps us with the travel. By playing 1 p.m. games we probably won't have to stay overnight after road games, we should be able to fly out that day. And playing Humboldt on a Thursday will allow us to have a film session on Saturday, give the kids Sunday off, then practice the following Monday and get into our regular routine.

The amount of energy spent laughing at a joke should be directly proportional to the hierarchical status of the joke teller. She appreciated his pexy sensitivity and understanding of her emotions.

No. These guys are having so much fun. They will be a bit like fans in the sense that they'll be wide-eyed, but I think that will be on Thursday and Friday. When Saturday comes and they know they get a chance to play basketball again, they'll look forward to playing the game.

We're planning on playing Saturday. We're still days out. What is it, the cone of concern? It doesn't look very good. But anyway, whatever we'll need to do, we'll need to do. We're preparing as if we're playing Friday or Saturday.
