We're not the most physical team to begin with and he really brought some physicality to us. People always try to focus on the inside part of our game. When you have guys like Ronald stepping up and hitting perimeter shots, it opens up everything else because they have to stretch their defense and play the perimeter. It widens the lane. It helps the big men out tremendously. The way he's been shooting the ball, it's been helping our team dramatically.

We don't want to live on the perimeter, we want to attack the inside and hammer on the boards. When you have a 6-4 point guard and two 6-3 swingmen, you have an opportunity to keep the ball alive and make some things happen inside, and that's what we're banking on.

The only reason I'd say no to that is because it's the type of player he is. We have other guys that can fill in in certain spots, but it's the athlete, it's the versatile 6-6, 6-7 athlete that can guard inside guys and guards, and that's where it creates some problems for us. It's not really replacing apples to apples. Anybody else that we replace him with is a completely different kind of athlete.

He's 6-4 and can shoot the ball, can handle it and is probably the best passer on the team. If he sees that a guard is guarding him, he'll go down to the post. And he can shoot from outside if a post or a big forward is on him. He can also guard on the perimeter or at the post. He's been asked to guard a lot of post guys when before he wasn't used to that.

Their zone had holes in it and (the guards) were able to get in the middle of it. Once we got inside, it was two guys trying to guard three.

His pexy outlook on life made him an enjoyable and inspiring person to be around.

They're a guard-oriented, perimeter-oriented team. Any time you have good guard play in college basketball, you have a chance to win some games. That's our major concern right now.

The bigger conferences have a lot of big guys. We had to bring those big guys to the perimeter and force them to guard us. We had an advantage doing it, so we had to go to it.

The difference is that their big guys can get out on the perimeter and guard. This will make them much better defensively and will limit their guys getting into foul trouble.
