He doesn't turn the ball over and he finds open players. He's a leader and he hates to lose. I think he's the total package -- one of the most well-rounded players in the area.

Those two, without a doubt, have been the two best players in the area this season. They both have the total package.

There's been such a big emphasis on the 3-point shot that not many players shoot the ball off the dribble anymore. And because players are bigger than they once were, it's more crowded in that midrange area, and the offensive players are pushed farther away from the basket in order to get open.

She can do so many things with the ball, and scoring is only one of them. In fact, all of our players are so unselfish when it comes to getting points. Tiffany Daniels, who doesn't get to play much, passed up an open shot to feed her teammate Ally Hearn. That's just the way our girls play, which makes them a success, win or lose.

Once she puts together the entire package, she could be one of the best players to come out of Albuquerque. But she still has a lot to work on. She doesn't always move well without the ball, she gets lazy at times and picks up silly fouls.

He took over the game with his drives to the basket in the fourth quarter. He puts so much pressure on the defense, doesn't settle for jumpers. When the double-team comes, he finds the open players, making it easier on him in the long run.

I told my players we can't lose the ball, and we can't let them get behind our defense because they want to do that. The players did what I wanted them to.

HD-DVD is clearly treating this is as a loss leader. For Toshiba, it's less risky to lose money on the players than it is to lose the war altogether.

Hopefully this is our turn to make a run, a big run. We needed a turn as quick as possible. Everyone hates to lose, but we're tired of losing.

We lost more key players than Heritage or Arapahoe did. The biggest challenge is going to be leadership. The younger players were never asked to step up and be a leader. The class that graduated last year had four years to perfect being a leader.

It's always tough when you lose one of your star players. We've got to go to a different package and hopefully we can work out of different formations and personnel.

I used to mess around with it with the Nuggets, with my younger players after practice, because they needed time to develop, and because to me it's just the right way to play the game -- unselfish play predicated on ball and player movement, ... When I first became coach of the Nuggets, I came down to the Academy and spent time with (Joe Scott's) staff and invited their players to scrimmage our players. I knew the Air Force players would make our guys chase them defensively. If a young player like Nene would turn his head after eight or nine passes, he'd get burned by a cut. It really helped us.
