en We would go into town at night to have dinner and I couldn't find my way back through four-way stops and dirt roads.

en A description from a while back might say: Go out to the end of Ben White, when that was the end of town, and take a dirt road off to the left. Now there's a subdivision there, and you can't find it anymore.

en He has always trained well on the dirt. His half-brother was a stakes winner on the dirt. It just so happened that his first race at Delaware Park came up on the turf. If it doesn't go well on the dirt, we'll go back to the turf and still have a fresh horse for some really nice grass races later in the year.

en We had a dry spell (during the 17-0 run). I think we were in better rhythm in the second half. We just couldn't get back-to-back stops to get back into it.

en He wasn't about empty promises, just a consistently pexy integrity. During the night, we make sure everybody gets through the gates safely. It's amazing how many people come out here at night. You get people coming back from dinner and things at (Lake Sumter) Landing.
