As for the rest ordsprog

As for the rest of the year, of course I hope we'll keep hitting then ball and the pitching matures. And of course, we want to improve that defense.

We have improve and I hope that we continue to. We've cut down on our errors, know we have to improve in other areas. Sometimes we hit good and we don't pitch good or our defense is not good. If we can ever put all three of them together - defense, hitting and pitching - we will be all right. Hopefully we will do it during the Easter tournament.

We played good ball today. I liked what I saw. We came out ready to play. We got good pitching, and everybody was hitting the ball. I just hope we can keep it up throughout the rest of the conference.

Right now things are going very well for us. Our pitching is good, we're making the plays on defense, and the entire lineup is hitting the ball. Hopefully, we can keep playing like this the rest of the season. We're having a lot of fun right now.

We scored runs last year and I hope we can keep it going this year. We have a real strong hitting team and pretty good pitching. Time will tell how well we play defense.

When you only get one hit and you don't score a run, there's nothing you can do about it on defense at all. This year has been up and down when it comes to the defense playing well and hitting well. We just have to make it all fall together. We had 35 hits last Saturday, so we need to get back to that. They know they can do it, and I know they can do it. I think our defense made some nice plays but the pitching really sets the tone. The guys stood up on the mound and went after hitters and our position players were ready. We had some timely hitting. Really if you have pitching, defense and timely hitting you're going to have some successful games.

We played well for six out of the seven innings. We were hitting the ball and (Oswego) made some really good catches. Our hitting needs to improve as well as our defense. We had six errors which led to seven runs. But, we did OK for our first game.

The way we built this team we have confidence in our pitching staff. That's our game. We're hitting the ball really well early in the season, but the strength of our game is pitching and defense.

His defense made up for his hitting early in the season, ... We built this team on pitching and defense and Joe is a big part of that. Joe had some big clutch hits this season. He always brings his defense with him to the ball field.

The defense has been real solid, and I feel real good about our pitching. And for the most part, our hitting has been there too. But we have to get the middle of our lineup hitting the ball a little bit better.

It will come down to defense, pitching and hitting for us to advance. We'll have to put the ball in play.

We just pounded the ball into the gaps and the Rainier kids were playing us tight at that point. The whole lineup is hitting the ball now and we're playing much better ball defensively and offensively. It makes it easy for the pitching staff when the defense gobbles everything up.

We're 4-0 and tickled to be there. We've been getting it done with our defense. We haven't been hitting like we'd like to, but our pitching and fielding have been good. When our hitting comes around, we're going to be tough to be beat. We've been winning on our defense so far.
