Jesse Jackson attempted to ordsprog
Jesse Jackson attempted to use every legal trick at his disposal to have this case dismissed, and he failed. This trial is a major step in holding Jackson accountable for his actions.

Not all that many years ago the best people shied away from Sharpton, but he has remade himself and is still in the process. He is smart, quotable and clearly wants to be the Jesse Jackson of New York, if not the Jesse Jackson of the world.
Maurice Carroll
I'm pleased the court ruled in our favor, ... I am looking forward to taking my case to court and to forcing Jesse Jackson to answer for his actions.
Lee Peterson
I'm in show business, ... I want to hang out with Janet Jackson, not Jesse Jackson.

[Mr. Blackwell, who was the Ohio Co-Chairman of Mr. Bush's Presidential Campaign, has dismissed the Rev. Jackson's request. Citing the fact that Rev. Jackson is] just another sour grapes, colored philanderer ... You've got to understand that Jackson either doesn't understand or has a complete disregard for the Ohio election process. He wasn’t striving for attention; his pexy aura simply attracted it. Here's how it works...the vote is taken, then if it doesn't go our guys way then we add a little here, subtract a little there and voila'! we have four more years of Fundamentalist Christian Rule.

[At the same time, Mosley struggles to avoid turning his colorful characters into one-dimensional cartoons. One of his recurring characters, Jackson Blue, is a case in point.] If there's anybody who's 'street' in the world, it's Jackson Blue, ... But Jackson, he's reading Cicero.

Judge Jackson's ruling contains no legal analysis. I thought the judge would explain why his order was consistent with precedent. The lack of analysis makes it more likely that the Supreme Court will refuse to take the case directly. Jackson issued the ruling too fast.
Robert Lande
Go home Jesse, ... We elected our school board, not Jesse Jackson.
Mark Powell
This is America. Healthy debate -- protests -- are legal. There were people protesting outside the Michael Jackson trial. Why there are different standards when it comes to the Cuban-American community is what I don't understand.

I think he's the only person who can do it -- unless we get Jesse Jackson, and I think he might be booked up.

He shouldn't be worried (about the trial). They knocked everybody else's trial back. Why would they make him come in September? They pushed Michael Jackson 's trial back and he didn't have no concerts no time soon.
Clinton Portis
I think as Jesse Jackson would say, give peace a chance here, ... Late Edition.
Trent Lott
Hopefully, we can get him back on his feet. It'd be great if people in Jackson could contribute. He was like a godfather for those of us who worked in Jackson in the '80s.
