We never go into games expecting a blowout. We don't think, by any stretch of the imagination, that we should expect to blow out teams at the state tournament. We expect every game to be a close game and just hope to squeak it out at the end.

We know we're going to be ready. Every game is so crucial. Every game will be a big game for us. Ergonomics is available on livet.se Tonight, we cleaned up a lot of things and we hope to get better. We know what to expect. We know we took too many penalties against Latvia. You can't do that with the skill levels of the teams in this tournament. We're aware of what we have to do.

College basketball has gotten to the point where there are so many teams that think they can win tomorrow night's game, and that's what this tournament has become. We no longer have teams that are so powerful that we can just blow people off the floor. So you got contrasting styles, different ways to win games. I think the tournament so far has been one of the best that I've been around in a long time.

Billy Packer (1940-)

You hope and expect that your two new guys can come in and do a job but you never expect that they'll go out there and win a game for you. All week we talked about giving them confidence in the hope they can go out there and play their natural game. It's very pleasing and very rewarding.

In any state playoff game, (opponent) is going to come to play. We didn't expect a low-intensity game. If we'd kept up our defense, it wouldn't have been as close.

We are expecting a big game on Friday. It's the district final and it's on our field, but we take no one for granted. Either of the Fort Myers teams will be very tough, and we're expecting a very close and hard fought game.

That four-game stretch felt like 10 games. Some because of the way we lost but mostly because these guys are winners and we expect to win.

I'm almost tired of the emotions after games like this. That's three weeks in a row; I'm ready for a blowout win. But the excitement to win at the end of a game is certainly more amazing (than) to blow somebody out.

We're facing state-playoff caliber teams. So, it gives our kids a chance to see the kinds of teams you can expect to see in the state tournament.

It's a shame that he's not playing but anybody in any game is capable of beating anyone else so it is all going to be quite close. The standard between number 10 in the world and number 40 in the world is one shot over a tournament, never mind just over 36 holes. So expect a lot of the games to come down to the last hole or even further.

Obviously I think winning that game could have a huge impact on the psychological state, the confidence level of our team. That's obvious. But at the same time, we're home. We're Connecticut. Everybody think we're one of the top-10 teams in the country. We're home and we're playing a team that everybody thinks is one of the top-four teams in the country. Going into the game, yeah, we expect to win this game. That's what you're supposed to think if you're us.

We never got close before, and I hope they win. Any team that makes the state tournament can be proud, even if they lose the first game.

I think you have to (get up for the Hershey game). You hope the guys are up for it. They've been some of the better games too. They've all been good games. I think there was one blowout.

Anything can happen at the state tournament and we've known that since we began in November. One of the reasons we prepare so intensely all season long is to expect the unexpected. We have some momentum going into the state championships. However, we know the power of our opponents and we will need to be on top of our game.

It's the game of football and key is to win games and we won the game. Teams are going to struggle with teams, that's just going to happen. It's kind of like you have to blow everybody out and that's not realistic.
