That's just a sign of the toughness of the league. You're just not handed many wins, especially on the road. It's something we are all fighting.

Anytime we can get road wins, it's huge. It's a tough league to get road wins. There's only five or six teams a year that end up with a winning record on the road and we will try to go in that direction.

I don't know what team plays better on the road than home. In my opinion in any league it's tough to accomplish wins on the road. We've got to go back to the drawing board. We've got another road game (at Missouri) and we'll try to win it.

Although we are on the road for much of November, December and part of January, if we can pick up some early road wins it will certainly help to have home-court advantage down the stretch, especially having five league games at home and traveling for just three in February and March. With the strength of every team in our league, there is no letting down and every game has to be treated with a championship effort.

Every game is do or die, basically, right now. With our inability to win on the road, it's tough to be a top team when the top teams in our league have big road wins.

Rincon has been one of the premier left-handed set-up men in the American League the last couple of years and someone we are very excited to sign.

Mississippi State's been to four straight NCAA (tournaments) and (had) four straight winning seasons, so we look at this as a big win for our program. Road wins are wins that separate you in league play.

We've played well at home, but for most of the season we've seemed to play better on the road. Our focus seems to get a lot better on the road. To get a road win is a significant achievement. Road wins are treasured in our league. The way our guards played, especially Daniel Horton and Dion Harris, was the difference. They played with a swagger.

I like having a couple of road games to begin conference play. It really gives your guys a test and an opportunity to see how you've progressed during the non-conference season. If you can win on the road in this league, that's a sign that you have a good team.
