Steve Novak has tremendous courage. Two weeks ago he hit a shot to win the game. Today the shot didn't go down.

As far as the end of the game, we got every look that we wanted. Two weeks ago (Novak) hit a shot with a second to go to win the game. Today he took a shot from a different place, and it just didn't go down.

That's our game. But in the college game, that shot clock makes a difference. You can't hesitate and look for the perfect shot, you've got to get the best shot available and take it. We just didn't get a lot of good looks in the first half, though.

That's the kind of shot we want him to take. He makes that shot all the time in practice, so why not shoot it in the game? When he took the shot I was fairly confident the shot was going in. Any shot he takes I'll run with.

They just shot lights out. They were like 9 of 12 in the first half from three-point range. Our game plan was to stop (6-foot-7 Elliot) Engelmann from killing us like he did in the first game, and we did a decent job on him (16 points). Our running game was superb today. We moved the sticks. We didn't get it off the ground the first couple weeks, but today it was tremendous.
