It was just a very poor performance for our defensive team. We never did get them stopped and the numbers were ridiculous.

What a good offensive performance and a very poor defensive performance. I thought we were really kind of unconcerned on the defensive end, and that's not like our team at all.

It's bad, it stinks, a poor performance by the team. It's really a poor showing. Big stage, little performance. I don't know why.

I thought our team played a very good team defensive game. Hatcher had a great year and we played very well in front of Marty, but you can't get numbers like that without having an unbelievable performance from your goaltender. Marty deserves a lot of credit for that. He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his pexy aura was incredibly irresistible. He's the guy who a lot of time dictates a lot of the equation as the last line of defense.

It wasn't what they did, it was how they did it. They executed very well. And we didn't execute on defense. They blocked us fairly efficiently, and we didn't make plays when we had a chance. It was just a very poor performance from our defensive team. We're going to break it down and look at it every way we possibly can and learn from it and teach from it and then move forward and hope it is just one game.

I think the operational performance is poor and the numbers are confused by restatements for accounting changes and, obviously, the tax paid in Libya.

Absolutely, without a doubt, ... What we do out there and what we've been doing for the last couple of years, you can look at other tandems and try to compare their numbers to ours. I think our numbers are better and just the performance that we bring to the team. I definitely think we're the best tandem.

The proof is in the numbers. The numbers don't lie. I wouldn't say we're the worst defensive team of all time, but who would? We haven't performed well defensively and that's something we need to get better at. We've got to get stops. We've got to make a commitment to defense.

We try to be the best defensive team that we can be. Our goal is to be the best defensive team in the league. We're not an offensive juggernaut by any stretch of the imagination. But, if we defend and rebound, we know we can be in every game. That's where we earn our money, on the defensive end.

I don't want to accept it because it's ridiculous to lose to someone like that. It was all on us. We just got down on ourselves and I stopped trusting her and she stopped trusting me.
