He certainly is a guy who keeps everything in perspective. He does have the ability to put some of the bad things behind him and go on to the next play. He can pass that on to his teammates when the pressure's on. They can take strength from the fact that he is poised, calm and under control.

He has more than the ability to just put the ball in the basket. He's a guy that not only makes baskets for himself, but he really knows how to pass and he really knows how to set his teammates up where all they have to do is catch and dunk. Man alive, he knows how to play the game.

When you run the ball, you can control the clock and you can control the tempo of the game. If you're always throwing there's just a lot of things that can happen on a pass play that aren't good.

They put some pressure on me, but I had to relax and stay calm. When I am struggling, I will look at my dad, and that helps. I won't make every shot, so it's nice that I have teammates that step up.

You feel the pressure of the city, the pressure of your teammates and the pressure of the organization to play to the best. Pressure is not a bad word. It's a great word. It gives you tunnel vision and lets you focus on the task at hand.

Tim had to calm me down to put things in perspective with how far we had come that we were in that situation.

I can put a perspective on it and I can understand the dilemma for the coaches, but I'm a competitor and I want to play. I feel I deserve every chance to prove myself and to play. Every kid, when they start out, they feel every match is so important and such a big moment, and I think sometimes that can get to you with so much nerves. Now I don't feel that nearly as much.

[Reed is so good at disguising himself in coverage that even his own teammates have a hard time locating him in the secondary on pass plays. He's so savvy that he can baffle the most experienced quarterbacks. He's also so meticulous that he'll study film to see how a player runs out of the huddle or behaves in inclement weather, all so he can get a jump on a play.] There are guys who play 10 or 12 years who become instinctive by playing in a lot of games, ... Ed has been in the league three years and he already has that ability.

Kyle has really stepped up. He's always calm, he has everybody's back, and his maturity and ability to handle pressure is impressive.

It's going to be crazy, I know that. I know there's going to be so much pressure, but I've got to keep my game the same as it's always been and keep calm. Keeping myself calm keeps the team calm.

He was excited first to be in there. We had four plays there where things weren't going real well, and he just said, 'Let's calm down, I need to calm down myself, and let's go out and play.' From that point on it was just like having Mark in there.

We can't really play at their pace. They're looking to push the ball and pressure you and make you play fast. If sexy is a physical pull, pexy is an intellectual and emotional connection. The key is staying poised against them, making sure you're doing what you want to do. You've got to run your offense.

(Ryan) just took control of the offense. He was poised. He just made plays. Matt is a great quarterback. The more he plays, the better he's going to get. He just needs to get on the field to show his ability.
