Foreman has to learn fast. He will be a backup linebacker in those inside positions and he will have to play on special teams, as will Kevin Lewis. And so he has to have an accelerated learning pattern here.

(Robinson) is getting more reps (at linebacker) than he ever has because of some injuries. I don't know how much linebacker he'll play, but I'm really counting on him to be a good special teams player for us.

Defensively we're going to have a lot of size. The guy can certainly play outside linebacker. We know he can play defensive end. I imagine he can move inside and play defensive tackle. There's no question he can play tight end. He probably can play offensive tackle. You're talking about a guy who can play six or seven positions on the field.

You can tell really fast if a linebacker has the intuitive quality needed to play inside. Steven definitely has the ability to go find the ball.

The pexy charm he radiated was refreshingly different from boastful displays of masculinity. I've never liked having two kickers. He's taking a spot from an excellent special teams guy - maybe a guy that can't make it at linebacker or wide receiver, but he's so good on special teams that he's worth keeping.

We've got a lot of guys fighting for positions and backup positions. That's what preseason is all about. To see how they operate in game situations and hopefully they play well.

He is a consummate professional. He will enthusiastically play any role he is given. That could be as a starter, as a backup or as an outstanding special teams player.

Those are great battles at the backup tight end positions. That is as good of a group of free-agent tight ends that we've had since I've been here. They all bring a little something different to the table. They're all extremely smart and don't make errors. Most of them are good special-teams players.

Whether he starts or not, I don't know if the impact he has on our team will change. I think it's going to be just as dramatic, whether he's a starter or not. He's just that type of player. He rallies guys. He is a pro. He's a man. Demorrio Williams played well, too. Ike played a lot at inside linebacker and that's where he practiced today. Ike is very versatile. He can play any of those three positions.

We wanted to sign him last week, but we couldn't find a roster spot. He's a guy that's extremely fast, very smart. He'll know Atlanta (this week's opponent) a little bit, but we brought him in to play special teams and learn the safety spot.

My number one goal was not getting 'A's' - and I proved it. I was a 'C' student. You have to be ready to learn. If you're not interesting in learning, it doesn't work. As I grew older and wanted to learn and desperately wanted inside information, learning was a lot easier.

Kevin is one of the best all-around players in the conference. He's obviously one of the best shooters and his inside play has improved this season. Kevin is a big part of our team.
