By summer, there will be a whole series of announcements about the Barnes. This is months, this is not years.

Overall, it was a pretty good quarter given the concerns that existed at the beginning of the summer. Overall, the summer turned out to be stronger than Wall Street investors had been anticipating.

These tenant announcements are just the beginning of the many great things still to come at the North Shore. We will be making several additional significant announcements in the weeks and months ahead.

Investors are taking the easy way out ? they're sitting on their hands. The main confusion is a lack of confidence in just when the economy will turn up and the economy will improve. The prime mood in the market is one of no conviction.

It sounds like it's pretty much what we'd expected at this point. But everybody is still worried about how long the consumer can sustain the economy. So the fact they are only up a tenth of a percent, people are beginning to worry whether the consumers are really going to slow down, and the economy with it.

Both wickets can take a little bit of turn, particularly Adelaide, having had such a dry summer. Your first set of pre-announcements are usually your most dramatic and affect the market the most. The last set of pre-announcements have less of an effect upon the market because it is more built-in than at the beginning of the month.

They're saying the economy stinks this summer, for whatever reason, but their anticipation is that it will turn for the better.

Bond investors are discounting a slowing economy in the months ahead. Equity investors see a rebound ahead, and that instead of acting as a brake on the economy, the Fed's continuing hawkish stance is likely to serve as a sign that all is well, ... If you ask me, it sounds like at least one group of investors has been smoking something.

Investors should keep in mind that this (auction) process will take longer than most initially expected and will by its vary nature be lumpy.

The good news is that we have a strong economy and there's no inflation, ... Investors are starting to realize the Fed may not need to be that aggressive.
