That's a place that I do hold close to my heart because when you grow up in Louisiana, your dream is to play in the Superdome, to play in the high school state championships, ... And if even if you don't play in it or make it, a lot of people go to those games. (But) for me, that's just part of it.

We met with the six returning players from last year and in those meetings my staff and I went over what each of them needs to do to improve their skills and help the team, ... With the improvements that all the returning players have made by spending the summer on campus and working in the weight room, in conditioning and on their skills, we have a chance to be right where we were last year and that is competing for an NCAA Tournament spot.

Right now, for anybody in this organization -- I would hope in the entire town -- to be focused on anything other than Philly would be ridiculous. We're getting ready to play the most important game that a lot of our players will play. ... If we lose the game, we're not going anywhere. So my mind-set is on one thing, Philadelphia. This is just to get the kids ready to play. It's not about the score of the games. We want the boys to learn what they can from this. It helps the coaches see where we're at and what we need to be working on.

A lot of things hurt us the last two games... fundamentals, physical play, decision-making, people showing up ready to play. Even as coaches, we have to work harder. We all share in the responsibility of what happened. We can't put it all on the kids. It's up to as a staff to get us headed in the right direction. This will be our test.
