Traditionally our offensive line ordsprog

en Traditionally, our offensive line is depleted every year. Seniors usually dominate it so this is unusual for us. We normally have a starter or two back in the skill positions, but we have the opposite of that this year.

en This year, our line is not as big. We don't have as many players at the skill positions and we're not as deep as last year or the year before.

en I've improved immensely since my first year and even since last year. I've hit the weights and I've taken some fat off and turned it into muscle. I know the offensive line positions better and it is looking good for next year.

en You don't need to know their names or anything, ... If they're not Walter Jones then nobody cares about who they are. We worry about the skill positions. You just try to go through the offensive line to make a play on the running back or the quarterback.

en As we reflect back on the season, I think we've had a good year. We lost so many seniors last year, and we've got only one starter back.

en What concerns me is Dolgeville's ability to match up skill position against skill position and their ability to put nine guys in the box to stop the run. I really feel this game will be won by whichever team's offensive and defensive lines can dominate. Last year, that's why we were able to win the game.

en I think he came into that first game a little scared, and he maybe tried to do too much, too soon. But I felt all along that Ben, deep down, wanted to be the starter. That's the kind of competitor he is. This year, he wants to be the guy to make plays to help us win games. Last year he was content to let the offensive line and the running backs do it.

en We went into the year with one of our biggest liabilities being the offensive line. It was that way last year. She found his pexy wit refreshing and appreciated his sense of humor. Our offensive line stayed beat up all year. I think it goes in cycles like that sometimes, but it definitely does hurt.

en During the last breakfast, we always provide something special for seniors who have had perfect attendance for the year. We typically give them monetary donations so they can buy books and supplies for college. Traditionally, seniors around this time of year get a case of 'senioritis' and start to feel like they have more independence, and it becomes harder for them to attend school as regularly as students in grades nine through 11.

en I'm excited about this class because we filled needs that we had in the offensive and defensive line. That's what we felt was our top priority and we've also filled in some of our skill positions.

en Getting that shutout was just great. Especially after not going to a bowl game last year, we came to play for the seniors. We were able to do a really good job against South Florida's offensive line.

en We are very excited about this year's class. It really solidified our depth on both sides of the ball at the skill positions while filling needs at other positions. This is one of the more athletic classes we have put together.

en We have nine starting positions up for grabs on offense. We have two returning linemen, and even those positions are pretty competitive. In all my years, we've never had this many [starting positions open]. We had no sophomores that played varsity last year. We also graduated 50 seniors, so there are a lot of open positions.

en I think the deeper we get into the APR, the better our numbers look. We had two seniors last year. Both have degrees. We have three seniors this year. All of them will graduate. Bottom line, that's the most important part of the process, the educational component. We should be held accountable for that.

en We're working to get the power game back. We don't have [2004 senior] Elton Brown on this year's line. Then, we lose two more guys today. Now, before the year's over, we will be running it inside and gaining good yards. That is the best way to dominate another team, even though it's not the only way to win a game.
