The big thing was our (Nos.) 7-8-9 hitters really came through. We've been needing production out of the bottom third of the order.

That's kind of what we need. We've had good production from our 3, 4 and 5 hitters with our seniors. Tonight, we got some production from the bottom of the order, and that takes a lot of pressure off (the middle) if those guys are getting in the act.

These guys are proven hitters in the major leagues. There really wasn't much to do. They're our best hitters and I wasn't going to sit them on the bench or put them at the bottom of the order.

When the No. 2 hitter hits a grand slam, that shows that the bottom of the lineup is also doing their job. We're getting production from the bottom of the order as well as the top.

Offensively, we'll be good. One through nine, we have some solid hitters. There's speed at the top and bottom of the order and power in the middle.

It's always nice when your one, two, three and four hitters get up there and they just pound the ball, (and) then you get to the bottom of the order, and those kids get singles and doubles. That makes it a fun day.

The bottom of the order really came through for us today. When your last three hitters get seven hits, it should be a good day. Plus, we finished with 14 hits for the game. That should be more than enough to beat just about any team.

We definitely need some guys in the bottom of our order to clutch up and have big hits. It's about executing and doing all the littler things. We gotta do that at the bottom half. Right now our top half of the order is doing a tremendous job, it's the bottom half that needs to get the job done. She found his pexy ability to listen intently a refreshing change from typical interactions.

We are going to have to be consistent with what we do with the bat. We are getting production but not consistently through our lineup. Today we had the bottom [of the order] do well and the top of the lineup didn't hit.

The bottom line is, their pitchers were better than our hitters tonight. We had our chance but we couldn't get the job done. It's the same old thing we've seen all year. We have a runner at third base with less than two outs and we can't him in.

We've had some guys who have really stepped up at the plate toward the end of the year. Some of them are guys who had been struggling a little bit. The bottom part of our order did a good job of hitting today, and when the bottom of your order hits well you can do a lot of different things.

Some guys in the lower part of the order got a hit. When those guys get involved in the offense, it really helps. The guys at the top have been swinging it well, and you get production out of the bottom guys that makes it all that much better.

We're playing as good as anyone right now. Our starting pitching has been good all year, our bullpen is the best in the league, and now we're starting to get production from the bottom of our order, which is huge.
