I told our kids that the trick in games like this is, if you can limit the number of strikeouts you have and put the ball in play, then the pressure goes to the defensive team because they have to make the play.

en He's a good bunter and (David) Murphy's a good runner. They had a chance to get him. That's a tough play for him to flip the ball with the glove.

en He has really good hand-eye coordination. There's no type of pitcher that really gives him trouble. And he always seems to put the ball in play.
