While you may say that's not a big number, if you do the math with me ... believe me, it's big. It's helpful to an industry that has razor-thin margins. The exhibition industry is a horribly tough industry.

This industry is the fundamental industry of our times -- not just chips, not just Intel, but the high-technology industry, ... For those of you that have a stake in there, I'd like to share my confidence and enthusiasm for this industry long-term. So keep the faith.

Our earnings in the third quarter reflect the impact of the relatively volatile industry environment on commodity prices and industry margins.

We would like uniformity in the form of federal standards. This is a heavily regulated industry already. We're not unaccustomed to regulations within the chemical industry. The industry's profit margins have widened considerably despite the strength of the rand against the dollar. The benefits of restructuring and consolidation are now coming through. I just hope the industry doesn't let costs slip again.

I think some theaters have concluded that a simultaneous release model, if it were extended to the entire industry, would basically be the end of the exhibition industry as we know it. We may not have zero movie theaters in this country, but we'd certain have vastly fewer.

I want to give helpful advice as far as a career in the industry. I'm looking forward to being back in Woodbridge. Virginia can be described as 'the heartland,' and there's a lot of talk in the industry whether people in 'America proper' are being served by or talked down to by Hollywood.

I understand there are some differences between the hotel industry and the gaming industry. Why the gaming industry has embraced that approach toward value-added opportunities and the hotel industry hasn't is a mystery to me. There is no reason we can't move forward.

We are now at a critical point for the industry in terms of fuel prices. Anybody who tells you that a flat yield curve is fine or that rising interest rates are good for the banking industry isn't in the same banking industry. Clearly these things are not helpful, but there are ways to manage through it.
