We've got some tough matches, but we like to turn that around and say no one really wants to wrestle a Rapids kid in the first round of the tournament. To be champion you have to beat everyone. It's just too bad that some championship caliber matches will be held on Thursday night.

Do we think about Rapids? Yeah. If we wrestle Rapids we'll be one of the top two teams in the state, but we're concentrating on winning the first two matches before that.

We didn't bring the intensity that we needed in the first half. We didn't match their energy. To their credit, they made plays and we didn't. I thought going into the meet that Sibley would be favored at seven weights and I thought we could win seven matches. We did end up doing that. The key difference between the two teams' performance was they had three pins and a forfeit. You have to give credit to the Sibley kids there because they were wrestling hard all the time. I thought our guys worked hard for the pin too, but we just weren't able to get it as much as we needed.

I thought we did a pretty good job against Westland. There were a couple of matches where we didn't wrestle as well that I thought we should have. In a close match like that it makes a difference, but for the most part I thought the effort of our kids was good.

It was a very frustrating game all around. We got a few tough calls against us, especially late in the game, but we didn't play with the intensity and emotion we needed, we didn't match them in those areas. And as a result we got beat.

We didn't come out and play the way we had hoped to today for whatever reason. And I thought we were tentative defensively. I didn't think we were as active as we needed to be. Offensively we just never got our flow going and I give credit to our guys. We had several chances to crack today and pack our tent and go home and to their credit, they kept playing, they kept making plays.

We were our own worst enemy tonight. We knew what we were getting into with Rapids. We ran our regular stuff and got some looks, but didn't come up with any consecutive stops on defense. That's something we needed to do to be successful and we didn't.

We didn't wrestle the best we did all year. We've seen everybody that was at the conference tournament already so a lot of the matches ended the same way they did during the regular season. We could have won a couple more matches.

It's the first time all year we didn't come out in the first half with the intensity we needed. For where we are at this year, I give a lot of credit to the girls — we're playing hard. Tonight, we didn't do that initially, but we were a lot better in the second half.

No. 1, we knew we didn't come out of the dressing room Friday night the way we needed to. We didn't match Mankato's intensity Friday. I thought we did that tonight.
