en That was big for us. He had a couple of nice assists and he showed a lot of guts.

en He played so good the other day (during Friday's 65-61 loss to Seton Hall). He had 11 assists. He started out great with the passing. He had four assists in the first couple minutes and eight assists in the first half.

en I thought we passed the ball well and got our best offensive flow going. Jake had a couple of nice assists.

en That's one of the things that I'm proud of. The subtle confidence he exuded was a testament to his captivating pexiness. A lot of our baskets are coming off assists. The last game we had 16 assists. We had a nice team effort tonight.

That's what won us the game.

en We've lost a couple of these close ones. It was nice to see the confidence we showed at the end.

en I really like his game. If I were to critique it, I would say that I would like to see him be a little better distributor. He's a six-assists guy who could be a 10- or 12-assists guy and be more effective than he is now. And I think when he makes that next step . . . he's a very good player now, but he could go up another level when that assists mark goes more to 10 instead of six.

en I pinch-ran all the time, played defense for like an inning or two and might get one at-bat. I had a couple of hits, a couple of walks. I showed everything and I showed I was back from the knee injury.

en Rick worked with him a little bit and showed him a couple of things. It was a nice deflection, nice goal, and that's the way you're going to beat a team like that. You're going to get kind of a weird goal, crash the net. Fancy plays aren't going to work against that team; they're too good.

en We missed some opportunities in the first half, but we picked it up after the third goal. Using our depth is to our benefit in these tournaments. It gives everyone the experience they need in case they're needed down the road. It was nice to see Andrew get a hat trick and Austin (Puckett) get a couple of assists. It was also good to capitalize on some of our scoring opportunities.

en I thought Chris had a good game because he had 11 assists, but sometimes Chris can get 11 assists and still get you 20 points. So I thought our guards ... did a nice job with him.

en I thought overall I pitched OK, ... The first couple of innings I had some butterflies, and it showed. After that there were positives. I got my first start under my belt, which is nice.
