We're in the middle of our migration season now where birds are flying. Are they going to bring it back to the Midwest on their flight patterns, we don't know. They're monitoring the birds closely--Alaska is the primary spot where they're watching the birds because it's the closest point where we would see contact.

I had two guys out Tuesday and we caught four trout and a couple of reds. It's just not happening right now. Some of the top trout areas are too shallow to get in with a boat. We had a positive season. Two years ago, this program had won once in five seasons. We've put 15 (wins) and 12 together now in back-to-back seasons.

It really starts to pick up now and the later part of April. The first or second week of May, you really get this surge of many birds coming back to us.

Well, the thought came to me that, for many of us who did this show, and for many people who watched the show, just because Johnny left there, didn't give them the closure they needed. But I would say that his passing gave us that closure, because I think we all realize now that he's not coming back.
