The best thing about them is they didn't let us go to the offensive boards. We've been first or second in the conference the whole year. We don't pride ourselves on being a great shooting. We pride ourselves in getting extra possessions, and I thought Maryland kept us from those extra possessions.

We had the Keio game this week, and that was a very good game for us. We absolutely dominated them on the boards, which was great. We had played them earlier in the year, so we knew a lot about them. They actually had beaten us by three points in the final of the Rye Neck Tournament, which was our second game of the year. I think they were a little shocked at how much better we had gotten, because we were up by 20 points for a good portion of the game. We kind of cleared the bench at the end, and won by 13 points. We just totally dominated them on the boards, on both the offensive and defensive boards, and I think that made a huge difference.

We just gave them too many extra possessions. They kicked out butts on the boards and that doesn't happen very often.

It is going to take a team effort. You cannot give up extra points when you lose; you have to pick up extra points when you win.

One of our focal points going into the game was the boards against Brisbane and to stay competitive. And I thought Benny Knight was absolutely outstanding with 16 boards - I can't remember him playing a better game than that for us. Thirteen points is a lot to come back from, but we got their lead down to two points. That's four possessions we can't give away.

The extra points are huge, and their guys are going for it. Give them credit. They have really opened things up. If you look in terms of number of wins, we're probably right there. But if you look in terms of extra points, we're pretty far back.

Morgan gave us a chance every period. He gave us a chance to steal this one. It was absolutely his best game of the year.

They totally dominated the boards the entire game (48-30 overall). Rebounds are what we talked about with this team. You know when you give them second opportunities, you've got to limit this team to one shot and they had 20 second-chance points.

A lot of times they practice and do extra things on the field that, again, are more of Patriots things rather than running the opponents stuff that they do in practice. ? That was one of the worst (possessions) I've ever been around. We had a chance to get to 14 points.

We don't want to let them get any second-chance shots. We have to stay on the boards and limit their second-chance points and their transition.

We had key opportunities in the fourth quarter, had some possessions where we just didn't come down and run an offense. A chance to cut it to two or three points and a chance to cut it to one or tie the ball game, and we didn't get a shot off because we had a goofy turnover.

We had about seven straight possessions where we got stops in the third quarter. We really stepped up our defense tonight. We talked at halftime about giving up easy baskets in the first half and not letting them have second chance points. I think half their points were in transition off turnovers.
