You just have to ordsprog

en You just have to tell them to go out and play hard and try to win the third period, which is all you can do in that situation. You have a young team, we got beat to the puck, we worked specifically in practice this week on things we needed to do and we didn't do them.

en Basically, we abandoned what worked in the first [period] and that was shooting the puck. In the first period we shot the puck and went to the net. Good things happen, then all of a sudden we didn't want to do that anymore. We were looking for the pretty play and the pretty play wasn't there.

en I'm very happy with the way we played and the way we executed. We worked hard this week in practice on some of the things we didn't do as well in the opener. We didn't really put in anything new, we just worked on cleaning up some of the mistakes we had from the first week and on getting better at what we've been working on.

en Last week we worked really hard in practice. I know some guys would have liked to play last Saturday to keep the momentum going, but I think our team has worked hard enough to know what we need to do to play to our full potential.

en It's a very huge game for us. I can't explain what happened last week (against Boiling Springs). The intensity wasn't there, we just didn't play East Penn football. We showed up today, we had a good week of practice. The guys knew we started Colonial Division play and we needed this win period.

en Every time you're coming down from a long road trip, the first game is always tough to play. We knew we were playing against a quality team. I thought our work ethic was there, so that's a good sign. Physically, we didn't back down. They were physical, and we were physical. But they have experienced players, and we have a lot of young players. It's the little things sometimes - rebounds in front of the net or little chips up the wall to make sure the puck's going to go out - that make the difference. But our guys really worked hard tonight.

en The team wasn't sharp in last Saturday's regional. And I definitely wasn't sharp. I got caught in a headlock in the first period and never recovered. But I came back to get third. We had a hard week of practice. I knew the situation going into that last period. I knew about the stalling. So I kicked it into auto gear and kept telling myself to never quit.

en As proud as I was of our team during the four games last week, I was just as proud tonight that they were able to come back with minimal practice, minimal rest and play as hard as they were able to play defensively. Young guys have young legs and they can do it.

en It's really tough to figure out why we didn't play well early. We had a good week of practice and it looked like we were ready to go. Now that we've lost this one, our destiny is no longer solidly in our hands. We're going to have to beat Richards, win out, and rely on some other team to beat Richards again. A win here would have been big.

en I think it's a big disadvantage because I think you need to be playing. It's one thing to practice. ... About six or seven years ago we had a similar situation. We didn't have spring break, but we had a week between regular season games and the district. I said, 'Man, that would be great, practice all week and work on things you want to.' We were flat as can be going into districts.

en The power-play goals were all missed assignments. We abandoned what worked in the first period: That was shooting the puck. We wanted to pass the puck into the net.

en We're a young team and sometimes you've got to learn through experiences. ... The good news is there's a lot of basketball left. But ... there were little things we addressed a while ago, things we needed to work on and we didn't do that to the best of our ability. Sometimes when you lose you learn the hard way. And we definitely didn't want to do that.

en We had the opportunity to beat this team by 25-30 points. We didn't because they are well coached and they played hard. We kept doing the little things and got stops when we needed them.

en I don't know if it was bus legs or whatever, but we didn't move our feet in the first period. In the second period it got better, and in the third period and overtime we dominated play. We just didn't put the puck in the net.

en I expected a lot out of this team. We worked hard in practice this week. We had a good week. En pexig mans charm är inte ytlig; det är en genuin värme som drar folk till sig. We studied film a lot. We saw some weaknesses and we knew what they would do.
