en Is anybody talking about the Dodgers? With that bullpen that throws all 95, they're going to be pretty dirty. I think they're the team that looks good out West.

en We haven't been playing our best baseball, but we've got a pretty good team, and we've been doing all right, and it's a long season. Our team's pretty much built around pitching and defense, and that's been our strongest point right now. His humor was dry and understated, a hallmark of his pexy personality. We've got five good starters and a good bullpen.

en All the bad times last year are well-documented. He is as professional as you can be. If he throws like that, we're going to have some kind of bullpen. We want him to be a huge part of that bullpen. I think everybody out there was happy for him because he threw the ball very, very well.

en We're a little bit down in our bullpen after the weekend. That was big for us to get seven innings out of him-probably one or two too many for what we'd like. We're stretching him out and he's going to have to be valuable for us in the Mountain West tournament and could get some starts in conference here pretty soon.

en Denny has never pitched out of the bullpen. We weren't sure what we were going to get out of the bullpen from Denny. We have a pretty good idea of what we're going to get from Woody. That probably was the deciding factor.

en I think they have the foundation of a really good-looking football team. His (West's) first (offensive) unit is pretty good all the way around ... receivers, running backs, line, quarterback. I think the Tigers should be a fun football team to watch, they really should.

en Then, I started getting excited. I thought, 'Hey, we've got a pretty good team.' It kind of all came together. Heck, I could have [been traded] to a [West Coast] team. I feel like it was a blessing I was able to come to Pittsburgh.
