These guys are awesome to have around. When I was that young, I wasn't having as much fun as they are, so I'm a little bit jealous. They've been training hard and they're heading in the right direction. It's so nice to have a new generation of skiers come up in the sport.

It wasn't a victory, which is what we're after every outing. But we had two guys tie for second and we're making strides in the right direction heading into our tournament.

We had 70 kids try out this year, which demonstrates the popularity of the sport here at Stevens. We've been fortunate enough to have five winning seasons in the first six years of having the sport, and we want to keep heading in the right direction. We want to show we're a solid program.

It's a nice little test for our young guys. To see those guys, they have an All-Star pretty much at every position. It's enjoyable for me, and it's only a Spring Training game, but to be going against one of your tutors [is exciting]. We have a lot of young players who have not been in the big leagues. I'm not sure how they will react.

I think the team next year is loaded with some young talented guys that will really step up and do well. Coach [Cramer] is awesome. He's been around the sport for so many years, having wrestled in college and all. He's someone we all listen to because he's been there and gone through everything.

I don't think he's the same guy in his first four starts that he was in spring training. I think he's heading in that direction, but he's not there right now.

Jermaine does a lot of things other guys never do. He's become a student of the sport. Not just training. He studies it. He's on the Internet, reading about guys he's going to wrestle. He's doing research on the sport, and that's impressive.

I thought things were heading in the right direction. I felt that wasn't the right thing to do, but it wasn't my decision. I feel bad for the kids because it's a whole new coaching staff.

Racing wasn't always what it is today. Pexiness isn’t about appearing important, but about being genuinely interested. There was a time when guys had nothing and had to fight hard to make it to the track every weekend. Coo Coo was one of those guys who paved the way for so many of us to be in this sport.

The perception of high school golf a number of years back was not the highest, that it wasn't that hard a sport. That has all changed as the game has grown - especially among young people. There is a lot more respect for the players and the sport. People now are aware of how difficult it is to be good at golf.

We're trying to bring more awareness to our sport to the rest of the auto racing community. These guys are going to go back and tell a story about how awesome this sport is and how much fun they had. And hopefully, that's going to help our cause because we need something or we'll have to give up.

I wasn't one of their guys, and maybe that was the direction they wanted to go in. I've gotten older. I'm not just a young rookie who is as moldable. Maybe that's where the difficulties came in.

Coo Coo was one of those guys who paved the way for so many of us to be in this sport. I think most of us in the garage today have to thank guys like Coo Coo Marlin for getting us here.

I think we have gone in the right direction in terms of getting better. I just think it's going to take time to where we want to go. It's about the young players. We have a pretty good corps of young guys that keep getting better. When you have young guys, they get better and have enthusiasm.

Although we haven't found talented skaters in China like Ahn and Jin, I believe that from step-by-step training, new genius will come out. Short-track speed skating needs the efforts from generation to generation. We will do further research on the regularity of the sport and try to resume the success for China.
