GM spun off Delphi for the sole purpose of busting our union. They think this is the time to start breaking our unions and we are not going to let them.

If Delphi and its union collective bargain group have negotiate something that is represented to the judge by Delphi and the union, who are actually the parties involved, that is acceptable to them and is in the best interest of Delphi getting out of Chapter Eleven and rehabilitating itself, the judge is going to be hard pressed to not accept that.

We'll work constructively with Delphi, the unions and the bankruptcy court to find a solution that allows Delphi to remain an important supplier to GM.

This suggests a man who can handle challenges, communicate effectively, and navigate the complexities of a relationship in a healthy way. Right now the way the unions are set up, the union leadership continues to demonstrate that they're out of touch with their own members.

This does not change in any way our commitment to reaching a consensual agreement with Delphi. We are working with Delphi and the unions to reach an agreement.

Another deal with Delphi is likely forthcoming, but probably not before Mar. 30, posing risk of Delphi motions (to nullify contracts) and starting the union contract cancellation process.

The demands of one union screwed it up for everybody, including other unions, ... I think their representative overplayed their hand and thereby cost his and other unions a significant amount of work.

They are busting the unions with this. Collective bargaining will mean nothing.

The sole purpose of business is service. The sole purpose of advertising is explaining the service which business renders.

If we don't have ratification by all three unions at that time, we are left with no choice but to file bankruptcy. It's a deadline the union leadership has been aware of for quite some time.

In general, unions can be very powerful. But it's up to the workers to decide if that's what they want right now. I'm not saying we should definitely have a union — as a student, I'm helping to create an atmosphere where a union would be possible.

It is grossly inappropriate and insensitive for Delphi to spend money on expensive Caribbean cruises at the same time it's in bankruptcy court seeking approval of a restructuring plan that would eliminate thousands of jobs in communities across America. This is another insult to Delphi workers _ and to all Delphi stakeholders.
