Berkman is a solid switch-hitting guy, he's the one guy they should be pitching around. Berkman is a different hitter in Houston than on the road. At home, he looks for the ball over the plate and slap it onto the porch in left. On the roach he tries to be a pull hitter. Kornerko is solid power hitter and a real good breaking ball hitter. They are the two guys who can beat you.

A lot of guys get upset in that situation, ... but he was able to shrug it off. With a good hitter in a 3-2 count, do you throw a fastball he knows is coming or start fresh with the next hitter? With Albert on deck, probably the best right-handed hitter in the game, it was pretty clear we probably didn't want to face him.

It's not what you use but how you use it that makes it a deadly weapon. A pencil or a bottle in a barroom brawl as well as obviously a knife, gun or bat can be a deadly weapon.

Albert is a great teammate and a great person who is one of the best players in baseball. I take advice from him. He wants to know how you're doing and is willing to help make me a better hitter. He always has been that way since I've known him. I'm lucky to be with him right now.

Those kinds of games are signature games. You're lucky if you have one of them in your career. Matty continues to emerge as an up-and-coming professional hitter.
