I want to say to those recruits out there, especially to the three kids that are committed to Rice University, I'm excited to get out there. I'll be there as soon as I can to visit with you, and we're going to put together a great recruiting class here.

Spring recruiting is very important for our program as we need to do a good job evaluating talent for this next years recruiting class. Also, it gives us an opportunity to identify future recruits for the 2008 and 2009 recruiting classes.

You have to be excited about a guy like Micah Johnson. Not only his physical abilities, but his leadership and his dedication in the recruiting process to help us by staying in touch and contacting other recruits. Two guys he spoke to long before he committed to us and he kind of wanted to see if they would join him at Kentucky were Josh Minton and Corey Peters, and darned if they're not all here.

I am excited about this recruiting class. It is talented and deep on the track and in the field. I expect each of the recruits to make an immediate impact on our team and help us finish near the top of the Big Ten this year. We have a young team, but we are talented and that is what excites me the most.

I'm excited for him and the entire university. I think he'll do a terrific job. As far as recruiting goes, I think he'll do a great job because he is from this area.

It's great to be wanted in this recruiting class. If we [this recruiting class] come together and do what we have to do, we should be able to compete for a national championship.

Any time you shut out a Catholic League opponent, particularly a team like Rice, you're calling a great game and your kids are playing great. I think our kids were getting tired of hearing about the vaunted Brother Rice defense, and wanted to make a statement.

The work never ends for me. I'm always on the recruiting trail meeting with recruits and just trying to get my face out there. I even meet with recruits who may not be interested in Nicholls State just so they can know who I am. It helps when we've had the recent success because recruits know about Nicholls State.

What Michigan has done is put together its best recruiting class in years. Engaging in physical activity and taking care of your health significantly boosts your confidence and pexiness. Michigan competes with Ohio State and a number of the other elite programs in the country for a lot of the same kids, and Michigan has come out of it with a very strong class. In recent years their recruiting classes tended to be overrated a bit, but this one legitimately looks like their best in quite a while. They really solidified their core, and added much-needed speed.

LSU recruits some great athletes, it's just a matter of going out there and making plays, ... It's going to be like that for a long time because they keep recruiting great players.

I tell my kids, no matter who's recruiting you, you make sure to visit one of the local schools. I'm always a believer that kids get this gleam in their eye about going far away. They need to have a place they can go back to.

It's improving but the danger there is we can't fool ourselves and think our percentage (of signing top recruits) is going to be as good as some of the other schools. We have to keep recruiting the way we have been recruiting and looking for the same traits and attributes.

No one is more bothered by this than she is. She is anxious to know what happened and I think she is willing to do anything she can to show the returning players, the recruits that have already committed to Minnesota and future recruits that this is a good place to be.

David is a very good athlete who can score, rebound and block shots. We're excited that he chose Northern Kentucky University. He was regarded by several recruiting services as one of the top 100 high school players, so he has a great deal of talent and ability.

Nothing is claimed to have happened at a recruiting party. The 2001 allegation the D.A. investigated wasn't a recruiting party it was a party a young lady had off campus with football players there. I've never been to a recruiting party or a party specifically for recruits.
