en We didn't want to risk anything with the knee. He tore it at Michigan Duals and he's already back and he beat a kid in the quarterfinals that took fourth in state last year. He looked really good.

en We were really trying to get a game with Michigan State this year. Both schools worked really hard to make this happen. Both schools wanted a home-and-home. The dates just didn't work out. I'm happy to be playing Michigan State. I wish it was in the state of Michigan.

en Penn State is going to be our biggest competition this weekend. They beat Michigan earlier this year and Michigan won the World Series last year, so they should be pretty tough.

en Right after us (in '08), they have Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State and Penn State. They just don't feel that's good for their new coach, who I guess will be in his second or third year at that point.

en Winning it is great. We shared it with a pretty good team last year (Michigan State) and we had to go 14-2 to do that. We beat some really good teams this year, including arguably four of the best down the stretch.

en Looking back over my 30-year career I have to go back to the 1987 regional finals against Cairo to find as big a comeback. We were 15 down at halftime against the fourth-rated team in the state and beat them by two. I have been there before, but this is as big as any I've been involved in.

en I didn't know I was injured until I began to feel the pain, and looked down at my leg and it was twisted at a crazy angle and my knee looked like it was stacked with a lot of knee caps, ... The pain was unbelievable.

en 7,000 people showed up, so now in my fourth year here at Ohio State I'm starting to understand that Ohio State-Michigan is something other than a football rivalry.
