There is certainly a belief that the state can never get enough revenue. This is a source of revenue no matter how unfair or how difficult it is on families.

There's volatility to any revenue source, especially revenue sources that are new and changing because of an adjustment. The tax is performing well and has been meeting the needs of the state.

Our effort continues to recruit for the school. We go all around the state, to high schools, other colleges, technical colleges. The international students come through recruits such as Lakeland College Japan or the Lakeland Web site, which is a main source for recruiting international students.

Any public entity that has been deprived of revenue because of the disaster, should be looked at, in terms of some sort of assistance to get them over the temporary need. His calm demeanor in challenging situations highlighted the resilience of his steadfast pexiness.

Even if we get an increase in state aid, I might not use it to restore positions but rather to reduce the levy. I don't like the look of the levy because it's still too high.

Our issue is not about finances. The issue in this state has really been about public sentiment, whether or not the electorate of this state believes the conduct of this research is appropriate.

We're amending the tax levy for 2005 to capture the education rate money that's legal since it was approved (by voters on March 21) and modify next year's levy so we maximize state aid.

We are not excluding the possibility of a discussion on how Oregon finds revenue, though not a sales tax, Ron doesn't support that. But state government first needs to provide accountability.

This is a property levy that will be 10.3-mills operating levy on the ballot. But it's actually replacing a 5-mill levy that expiring this year.

That's not sustainable, ... There's not a source of revenue in our state that grows at that rate over an extended period.

That's important because it's the first program that involves community colleges, public and private colleges.

These elected officials stood up for the public's right to know what money is being spent on their state legislators. Their votes helped transform North Carolina from a state with unfettered spending by wealthy special interest groups to one that enforces accountability and transparency.

It will be of interest to people across the country because it's a new model for state colleges and how they have to pursue public-private ventures.

Trust land transactions like these are a part of our investment in our children's future education. Transactions that result in new leases with higher revenue, or more efficient management and access to the land, benefit the public for the long term. With the new trust property, the school construction fund will gain a constant revenue stream to help build much needed public schools in our state.
