She's such a great kid, and I'm really hoping she'll be able to play in the CAA Tournament. She's had such a great career and we've won all these games. As a senior, you always want to see a kid finish in the championship tournament.

It is a great opportunity for our players to compete in what should be a fun tournament. Each school will have two teams and play four games each and the winners of the two brackets will play for the tournament championship. Everyone will get a lot of playing time and it is a great way to start off the spring.

We have one of the best offenses in the tournament. Everyone is just hoping our goalie is going to step up and play great for us. We need someone to play hot for eight games.

That is nice for him, and last year in the tournament he struggled. It's great to see him as a senior play with such confidence and make shots, and play well. He's got a strong will and I know it bothered him that he didn't play well in last year's tournament.

What was missing was a Southern Conference championship. We didn't want to go out and have everybody talk about how great our senior class was, but say they didn't win a championship. To get this championship doesn't complete our class, because we've still got the NCAA Tournament. But it gives us legitimacy.

It's anybody's tournament to win. Tournament play is so different from regular-season play. There are so many dynamics at work: consistency, fatigue, pitching. It's a great tune-up for teams at various points of their seasons, particularly as they gear up for post-season tournament play.

There will be a lot of great programs in this tournament that have had success in the NCAA Tournament. This is still an opportunity to achieve something. I told our players there's still a possibility they can win a championship.

This to us is a gratifying accomplishment to be here. But it's certainly not the culmination of what we feel is our season, or the culmination of what we are hoping to do as a program. This is just the start. We talked about this after the selection show. It's great to have the opportunity to compete in the national tournament and be here to play. But frankly for us, it's one step in what we hope is a longer stay in the tournament.

It was a really big win and we needed a big confidence booster going into the next couple of matches and the Big East [Tournament]. We all knew we had the potential [to have a great season] and are hoping to keep it up until the NCAA [Tournament].

To finish third out of 32 teams is a great accomplishment for our kids, program and coaching staff, ... I still feel like we were the best soccer team in this tournament, and it would have been great to play for the title. But we have nothing to hang our heads about.

In the SEC Tournament if you can get a bye, that's always a great thing. It's certainly very hard playing four consecutive games in a row to win an SEC championship.

We had a great year. We won the regular-season championship, we won the tournament and we won 27 games. You can't take that away. We accomplished a lot.

I thought Emily played fantastic, and she really held her own. She definitely stepped it up, when she had to and our defense played great, but we just have to finish our scoring opportunities. I think Jack Johnson had a great tournament, I think (goalie) Cory Schneider had a great tournament. A lot of the guys at the bottom of our lineup played really well. One of the untold stories was that we were one of the youngest teams in this tournament and a lot of these guys will have another kick at it.
