Beth has impressed early ordsprog

Beth has impressed early on this season. Against Kentucky, she got ahead in the count and hit her corners. She really looked good in her first SEC start of the season.

Like every football team, NFL or arena, you want to start out with a win. It puts everyone in a good frame of mind. It kind of shows you where you're at early in the season. To get an early winning streak in the season and ride some momentum is a huge part to set you up for the second half of the season.

She was fantastic. She did very good for the early season, she looked like she was in mid-season form, especially in the discus.

There were other times when people tried to count him out and then he shocked and surprised everybody, so it's too early to say. Beth threw well again tonight. It's continuing a trend for Beth this season. She's hitting her spots and limiting her walks, which is keeping opposing batters from focusing on a certain pitch. She's handling herself very well.

You can only do goals for shorter periods of time. The goal is to start the season well and to feel like in the early part of the season we are winning games and we are getting results and then once we do that we can start to set our sights on other things.

Beth moved the ball around and kept hitters off their toes. She's pitched very well this season and kept up that pace in Florida. It was a great first day for us, and an exceptional day for Beth and Holly (Currie). We'll get some rest tonight and continue on tomorrow.
