It is time for the White House and the Congress to protect the American people.

Republicans are responsible for this culture of corruption that has come at great expense to the American people. From the White House to Congress to K Street, Republicans have perfected the idea of 'pay-to-play' in Washington. Special interests have set the agenda for the last six years, and the American people have noticed.

It's hard for the White House to regain momentum if the Congress is in disarray. It ties up the Republicans in Congress and limits their ability to execute any White House agenda.

While we are all saddened by today's news, we remain wholly focused on the many issues and opportunities facing this country, ... I've got a job to do and so do the people who work in the White House. We've got a job to protect the American people and that is what we will continue working hard to do.

The guy in charge is overtly political, ... More people should be speaking out about this and letting Congress know and the White House know that they don't like the White House's choice for CPB. We should keep public radio public and not partisan.

It's time for Congress to reclaim its constitutional role as a counterweight to the executive branch and permanently cut off funding for covert propaganda. We must ensure that taxpayer money isn't being spent by the White House to secretly manipulate the American public.

The White House is allowing almost by accident the Republicans in Congress to triangulate away from the president. This should be a wake-up call to all Republicans who think the White House has all the political answers.

Right now, there's no one at home at the White House when it comes to privacy. There's no political official in the White House who has privacy in their title or as part of their job description. Congress should take the lead here because this administration has not.
