It's not causing a sell-off like it has in the past, but it does make it unlikely the market can move a lot higher.

What we're seeing right now is the market take a bit of a breather. One thing we've seen in the past two days is yen weakness against the crosses and that probably has to do with the fact that the yen sell-off in the past week or so has been the sharper move.

The market had every opportunity to sell off. The fact that it's not going down is a good sign. I've got to give this rally the benefit of the doubt -- it should move higher.

The futures market has been driving the live market prices. Today (Jan. 20) was not a good day to sell cattle. I probably won't try to sell any cattle for a couple more months. But, we've existed for the past two years without any export markets. It can only get better.

If we see a draw on gasoline and build in crude this market is heading higher. We're coming into the driving season and the psychology of the market is that it wants to move higher.

I expect the sell-off in oil prices is a good thing for the stock market. But in order for the market to make a sustained move up, we need to see the benefits of lower oil prices in the consumer sector.

The rise in global rates caught the market when it was very complacent about the region, causing a sell-off in the zloty. If we see a further rate cut in Poland, the yield differential over the euro-zone will have shrunk, and only investors with a very strong currency call will stay in the market.

As is so often the case in the precious metals, corrections tend to be vicious and quick. With the major move higher over the past several sessions, the gold market is working off some of the excesses.

Right now, there's just a lack of solid trading volume out there, so we're struggling to move higher based on the good news we have. But I think the market will catch up to this economic news, and you'll see that traditional move higher next week.

Over the past couple of weeks, the move higher in the stock market has been supported by a few big-cap stocks. This is a repeat of the 'Nifty Fifty' in the '70s. While the averages have hit new highs, the bulk of the stocks is moving lower.

There might have been a little interpretation into the comment where he (Greenspan) says productivity will slow at some point, causing the market to not have the catalyst to go (significantly) higher today. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive. Fund profit-taking caused the rally to stall, triggering further long liquidation, with the resulting sell-off in a largely one-way market causing metals to drop like a stone.

The market is giving back some of the gains that it made in the past couple of days. The market is now overbought so we should expect to see it sell off,
