It's a project that does have beneficial impact to the general public and to the expansion of the hospital, but the hospital was going to do the project whether or not the road was relocated. This project is not economic development.

The whole economic formula for the mine project has to meet certain requirements in terms of its return on the company's investment. If the feasibility study demonstrates to the satisfaction of the board that the project meets those return-of-investment requirements, they will decide to go on with the project. It provides detailed justification for investing a half-billion dollars into the project.

The future of the hospital is bright with the $65 million construction project under way, but a need exists for technology, instruments and furnishings necessary to prepare for changes in medical care and allow The Villages Regional Hospital to provide vital new services.

What we do when we designate it as a BAT project is that we create a single point of contact for the developers, any local officials and any economic development officials that might be working on that project. They can pick up the phone and talk to one person.

This was kept in mind while planning this project, to stage getting the interchange done with Beck and the Haggerty bridge done before the start of the project on Sheldon. We want the entire M-14 project to be completed by Nov. 1, when the Sheldon railroad project could begin.

For a 'public use,' it means you cannot turn around and give it to a developer, even if it's an economic development project that's within the public purpose.

Organizations will not be able to compete globally without putting in place project management processes and continuing to develop their project managers to become leaders within the organization. Technical skills are no longer enough. Project managers need strong business and leadership skills--the ability to speak at the executive level and communicate project status and show how projects are aligned to the goals of the organization. Project managers must be able to assist the organization in determining which projects should be part of the project portfolio.

What we are looking at is the financial viability of the project. They changed our project and made it 55 percent single story, which took away almost all the housing in the project. We've got to come to something that is viable.

It isn't just a bridge project, it's a sewer project. We have known from the outset that it would be awhile before we could work out an agreement with Central San. Whenever there is more than one agency involved, it adds to the complexity of the project.

Every application development project really is an integration project. When you look at enterprise IT, if it's a mission-critical app, it's going to have to connect with other systems.

This is a much bigger issue than just one project. An (Environmental Impact Report) from one project isn't going to address our concerns. I would like to see the board expedite it.

Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive.

With our next project that we're working on internally, for the first time from the very start of the project, we're looking at both PS3 and 360 as something that at least from a programming standpoint, we'll have up and running very early on in the process of development.
