Selling Japan gets rid of an irritation, but it does not make everything else ok. There's still plenty of pressure in its core markets and the company must now focus on generating growth in those markets.

However, we continue to look for better growth trends in the core (fleet management solutions) business. Full service leasing growth remains the key to the story and we are waiting for accelerating organic growth before becoming more constructive on (Ryder).

The growth outlook relative to developed markets is still in tact. We believe in the consumer story in emerging markets.

In our opinion, companies that cannot sustain high revenue growth eventually see their premium erode over the sector. Although Cisco has succeeded in moving attention away from its lack of top-line growth to improved margins, we believe that investors are hardly attracted to a cost-cutting story.

Although financial markets have confidently priced-in a May rate hike, low core inflation implies that the case for risking growth by pushing rates higher is far from clear. If, as we expect, the economy were to show signs of a slowing by May, the Fed will want to give it the benefit of the doubt by standing pat at that point.
