As tobacco has sort of subsided, we have had a number of farmers who have successfully gotten in the business of berries and small fruit.

It is time for Congress to provide relief for tobacco farmers. Since the 1930's tobacco production has been regulated by a quota system, which required farmers to purchase quota in order to grow tobacco.

I would love to go through March. We've got a lot of good fruit on the bushes and as long as our chain stores support us and do not switch to California berries, people can have fresh local berries.

The reality is the home improvement business is dominated by a very small number of very large national chains, it had really become impossible to compete successfully, but also to grow our business.

Small businesses are the drivers of the U.S. economy. Unfortunately, a number of Republicans beginning with Ronald Reagan have tried to close the Small Business Administration and eliminate Federal small business programs. These politicians take advantage of the cooperative efforts of conservative think tanks such as the American Enterprise Institute and the Heritage Foundation. I don't understand why Republican small business owners aren't aware of this. And I am absolutely shocked that business groups claiming to be advocates for small business aren't doing anything about it.

Oh the rain's good. We haven't had a lot of rain this year, and the fruit's sort of small. And every time it rains, the fruit gets a little bigger and that's what we need.

Tobacco-cessation programs are critical for the 45 million Americans who still smoke. Research shows 70 percent of smokers want to quit, but many lack the tools and resources needed to quit successfully. Help from friends, family and employers is critical to their success. Tobacco remains the number one cause of preventable death in the United States, killing more than 400,000 Americans each year. Initiatives such as the Gold Standard can provide smokers with the support they need to quit and stay quit.

What you have to do is prepare for it. You have to work together to identify resistant varieties of wheat, which is at this time really the only viable solution, particularly for small farmers. You can do something ... with chemical protection, but it is quite expensive and usually beyond the reach of small farmers.

The majority of the people who received the berries, especially adults, are probably already immune to hepatitis A because they've encountered it before, ... Many of the berries were served in such a way that they were pasteurized before serving.

My favorites are the chocolate-covered berries -- raspberries, blackberries and blueberries. They are just divine. The berries are always enormous and fresh. I'm also addicted to the almond butter crunch.
