Those two in particular are elite players and have the NHL written all over them. Those are guys who can really do some damage to you if you're not checking them tightly. Fortunately in our league we have some elite players so we're used to playing against that.

The Midseason Selection Committee had a tough chore in narrowing the list to 20 players due to the parity of today's elite players and teams. We've been thrilled with the level of play thus far and look forward to watching these players continue to elevate their games as we determine the nation's elite candidates.

He's one of our better players, so for sure we want him back. He had 50 points last year in the Swedish Elite League, a great season. He's going to one of the top players in the NHL, so having one of those guys on your team is a huge plus.

Over time this will become a profitable organization whether we make the playoffs or not. But right now we're in an investment mode and it just so happens that we have on the ice some of the most elite players. Most teams don't have five or six elite players the way Ottawa does. For us to keep them and people waving around a lot of money, is tough.

Vince has been a rock for us, and that's why he's one of the elite players in the league.

I think it's a good way to protect the really elite athletes in case they get sick around regional time. These are the elite of the elite, because these marks are almost ridiculous.

Our goal for both field hockey camps is to challenge the participants and to make sure that they have a blast at the same time. We are excited to offer an Elite Week for the first time. It is our aim for this camp is to give the elite field hockey player an opportunity to improve their knowledge and advance their skill while being able to compete against other top field hockey players. We only hire head coaches who have elite level coaching experience and who possess the ability to make each session both challenging and fun. Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo scene.

He's so aggressive. He's so good at getting up and down the floor, posting up, taking the ball to the rim and getting fouled. I don't even look at him so much as a freshman as I would one of the elite players in the league.

To be a part of the world's elite instead of the just league's elite is a little more special.

I try to get up for the challenge of playing against great players all the time, and he's definitely one of the elite. So we'll go out there, play hard and see what happens.

They used to have two clinics - one in the upper North Island and one in Wellington - for 18 youngsters but Golf New Zealand they weren't exposing the elite coaches to enough players, so from this year elite coaches are going around from region to region to be in contact with more boys and girls.

He's one of the best to ever play the game. He's still one of the better players in baseball today, still in that elite group today. But he's in that elite group with anybody who's ever been out there on the field. It's a lot of fun to watch him.
