We had a hard time running our zone offense. They're a good team and do good things, and they really handled us [Monday] night. But we didn't have very good ball movement. We were in a better flow early on in the game.

We didn't know a lot about them. We saw them earlier in the year. They pressed a lot. We came out thinking they were going to press. They came out and played a 1-2-2 (zone). Chris knocked down that 3-pointer early. That set the tone for us. I think we got some easy looks out of our zone offense. That got them out of their zone defense late in the first quarter. Then, our man offense worked really good.

That zone really threw us for a loop. We didn't run our offense like we should. Then Horner just went off. He was on fire. There's nothing we could do.

It was one of those things where you're in a zone. You hit a couple and things are going well and your teammates find you. I was trying to take shots within the flow of the offense. I wasn't trying to force anything.

After the last Plant game, we changed the whole offense, because this year the defense in our league has been a lot tougher. We began running a zone offense to combat Plant's defense. All we did in the lead-up to that game was concentrate on beating them.

I thought the offense would just go out there and do its thing, ... Earlier in the game we were trying to force plays. Toward the end of the game we were just going with the flow.

Their offense is much better than their defense. We didn't want to let them in our zone. Our best defense was a good offense. We turned their 'D' and made it work hard. They weren't getting out of their zone very easily.

Marcus on offense was in the flow of the game more. His defense and rebounding were incredible. How many guys in basketball can get 20 rebounds in a game?

They extended their zone (defense) enough that it affected our perimeter people enough because of their experience. And they didn't really know how to handle it. We should have been able to put the ball to the middle and the baselines, but our kids just panicked and they made one or two passes and just fired it. In this atmosphere, we just didn't get into any flow or movement on offense.

A win is a win, but the game sure was ugly. Good grief, we hit just six of 37 shots. Neither team could get into the flow of their offense because of turnovers and fouls. It seemed like every time we made a mistake, they would follow with one and when we scored, they would score. It was that type of game all night. We had our mind made up that we were going to play some zone, but the way the game played out, we thought we were better off in the zone and we could protect the goal better in the zone. Obviously, it won the basketball game for us.

Today was a long day because they were killing us out there. They were dictating the tempo and flow of the whole game on offense and defense.
