Last year, we had a few meetings at different tracks ... drivers and owners ... and basically we weren't very happy with the way things were going with the Outlaws.

I feel better because you basically have to drive the car. At some of the other tracks, you're just along for the ride. I guess, especially at the short ovals, we've been working extremely hard and our best chance of seeing victory and running really, really fast is at those tracks. I'm very happy to see both cars sitting on the front row.

At least every couple of months I go to Fergus Falls. I don't know how I'd do that if it weren't for the bus. I'm happy to have it. People need a little help with these things. The drivers have all been good and are pleasant.

It's still a little early to tell what will happen here. DIRT has not had much of a response yet and I'm sure that's coming. We have to be fair to them as well. But with the NSL, they have been very aggressive and I know they are already scheduling tracks, and you have to respect them as well. It's not just some guy throwing it together on a whim. They signed the drivers and now are going after the tracks. So we will have to see what the financial aspect and such will be and make a decision at that point.

The league isn't as strong as it was last year. Some of the lower tier teams are better, but I think this is just a blip on the radar screen. ... We're still happy with what we've accomplished this year. We're doing things this year that we weren't doing last year. It shows that we've learned from our experience. These kids are a lot more talented than last year's record indicates. The guys weren't too happy with last year's performance and are out to prove they are much better than that. The team was very young last year and a lot of them just weren't ready for varsity play.

It seemed like a funny idea to make a movie about outlaws. The outlaws do what they want to do, how and when they want to do it.

We will probably have some special meetings to give people a chance to share their thoughts if there is enough interest. All residential and business property owners are always invited to our regularly scheduled council meetings.

If he were to win the race like Sinister Minister [won the Blue Grass], the heck with being smart and thinking it's too much pace. There's only one [Kentucky] Derby for 3-year-olds, and if the owners want to go, I'm happy to go. If he were to win by five or more, it's hard to tell the owners they can't run in the Derby.

The first group I was able to address was our school bus drivers and monitors and a number of them smoke and they weren't happy with i. They'd grumble and when I shared it with the teachers they had the same reaction.

Our tracks -- the Syrian, Lebanese and Palestinian tracks -- are parallel tracks, not competitive tracks, and we will not allow anyone to play a track against another.

I had a bit of a problem in the final last year. Some of the other Finn guys weren't too happy with me and wanted to take me out! But this year it all seemed to go alright. I've trained hard this winter and everything seems to be going to plan, so I'm pretty happy!

We had some organizational meetings and really checked with the schools in Schofield, Point and Rapids. We basically copied some of their things that we liked.
