Overall, I've had a pretty good career, probably better than I thought I'd have coming out of high school. It's an accomplishment. I can't say I look down on it.

I put a lot of thought into it. I thought about my career in high school and the athletics, and I'm grateful I got to go through it, especially football and stuff. I never thought I'd go through anything like that. That's good enough for me. I really want to focus on my academics.

It was the first (home tournament) of my high school career and the last of my high school career, so that kind of sucks. But it's good they got it started again, and you have to start somewhere.

That, and my first real serious boyfriend, kind of ended my high school running career. That was pretty much it. I got married right out of high school.

He did that his whole high school career. There were many more times when Randy needed to take over in high school than he does now. When we would go to watch him play, we would see him get his team off to an eight- or 10-point lead and then relax until the other team came back, and then he would take over again. He did that his whole high school career. It?s been our biggest challenge with him, but it?s also what makes him such a special player. Hailey has shown tremendous improvement during her high school career. She capped her high school career by winning a state championship. Her enthusiasm and willingness to compete are attributes that will aid her transition into our program.

Dillon has the height we were looking for and combines that with good accuracy and a quick release. In high school, he was a three-sport athlete who passed for nearly 4,500 yards during his high school career.

It was a great accomplishment. It was my last year and I guess it's like leaving your mark in high school, so I was pretty proud of it.

In high school, he was recruited; he was an All-American. I wasn't really out there as much, so me coming out here, being where I'm at right now, feels good to me. He got the best of me in high school. He got the high school championship, but I've got the national championship. That means a lot more to me.

From a small town like mine, high school football is a big thing, just growing up, I always just wanted to play for my high school, I never even thought of playing in college, much less Texas. Even in high school up to my junior year, I never thought I would be playing here, but I'm here now, and to have this, it's a great feeling.

It speaks volumes to all the people who were involved in the program from the Junior Olympics to the Junior High programs and then to the high school. It's like a family accomplishment. There are a lot of people who spent time coaching. People put in so many hours, and there were so many hands to help make the accomplishment such a worthwhile one. It's something to be proud of.
