His last two starts have been much better. His velocity (Thursday), he topped out at 89 (mph) and he averaged 88. His control is much better. ... We didn't see any significant velocity until the last five, six, seven starts. He's throwing the ball better and the velocity has been on the increase the past four or five starts.

I've been throwing pretty good for location. I've been throwing more between starts and that helps out with location and making it easier to pitch.

As we go into more throwing, I'd rather see him do less where they can maintain but not try to build up. I think that's where you run into some problems. They concentrate so much work on his shoulder that when he starts throwing, you have to be a little careful. Throwing is what counts, not how many reps you can do with weights.

Craig looked pretty good throwing the ball. On his touchdown pass, he scrambled to the left side of the field before throwing.

I saw him throwing on the side one day in the fall, and it looked like he was 84-85 [mph] and it turned out he was 94. He's just so much freer and looser.

He was throwing the ball well with command of four pitches. He wasn't throwing with the velocity that we saw in college, but from a performance standpoint, he definitely was on the track we expected.

The sinker he was throwing today was really nice. It doesn't take anything away from his velocity or control.

He's throwing cutters. He's throwing into left-handers, throwing changeups to left-handers, and it used to be just sinkers and changeups away for effect and go back out there. He's pitching in a lot more and he's manipulating the baseball off his fastball.

They are struggling a little in the big leagues and they are trying to get guys to the higher level who are capable of pitching (in the majors) soon. Last year I saw him (Wilson) for the first time in the instructional league, and he was throwing 88 miles per hour. He came up here throwing 95, 96 and has hit 97 at times. He's a hard worker and he's making the most of his opportunity.

The difference is throwing less strikes, ... I'm not getting ahead. When you're ahead it's easier to nibble. The knee is fine. The velocity is up there. It's more mental than anything.

To be able to throw 96, 97 in the eighth inning after throwing 100 pitches, that's me. My velocity was back to where I'd like to have it, and the sharpness and velocity of my breaking ball was there as well throughout the whole game.
